ABOUT THE FLACK TRUST

The Trust was constituted under the Will of Edwin Harold Flack, who died on 10 January 1935.

The majority of Mr Flack's estate was left in trust for charitable purposes, in perpetuity. Subject to the conditions under the Will, distributions to charities are made entirely at the discretion of the trustees on the basis of funding requests made by eligible charities and institutions.

The trustees meet regularly and during June each year, consider written funding requests which are required to be lodged during the months of April and May. The lodgement deadline is 31 May. Normally, grants are distributed early in the following August to successful applicants.
